All things considered, my travels were quite easy to and from Chicago. The flight is a mere hour in duration. I'm somehow marked by United Airlines (but not others) as someone who isn't allowed to check in to flights on-line or at the self-serve kiosks. A live person needs to check me in, and when I asked them why, they could only say, "for security reasons." Blah. Anyways, I got to the Chicago airport yesterday a couple hours before my flight and about a half hour before an earlier flight to MSP. I switched my flight over to the earlier one, and as I was sitting on the plane, I heard that the airline had canceled my other flight and put the other travelers on the earlier one. They must've done this at less than twenty minutes before that earlier flight. Sucks for the people who weren't at the airport yet or hadn't heard the announcement at the other gate.
I slept most of yesterday. Today I am re-energized and ready for work!
