Off in a bit to have lunch with Joe who's in town for a couple of days on his East Coast tour. I hope things aren't tense and weird, but I think we're doing fine. When I saw him in New Haven it was nice, though too brief.

I was going to drop my car off at the body shop this morning for repairs, but the guy thought I hadn't confirmed the appointment and so didn't order the new bumper yesterday. He says he can get the bumper tomorrow, though, so I'm going to go drop off my car tomorrow instead. At least I'll have wheels today.

It's all hot and humid here. It's still warm in my apartment, even with the a/c at full blast. I'm such a wimp.

It's soooo hot outside. I think I will definitely have to go to Plan B (stay inside while the sun is out). Good thing the grocery store is open 24 hours.

I need to get my act together to start revising some of my papers for submission to journals. I have two in mind for possible submission now and a couple of articles I want to draft this summer. But before I can get to those things, I need to read a few books I have lined up for central processing.
