bags, marvels, and fathers

I couldn't get out of bed this morning -- so tired! I don't think it was because I did anything strenuous yesterday. I did jog for about five minutes with the puppy yesterday morning -- perhaps I am feeling the soreness of that gargantuan effort. (Have I mentioned how out of shape I am?)
Ask a Minnesotan to say "bag." :)
I'm having a lemon marvel with my mocha this morning. The guy in front of me was getting one and I was, like, oooo, what's that and had to try one. I also need to get some cash from the bank because I have this silly guilt thing about using credit cards for small purchases so I'll "upgrade" a regular coffee to a mocha with a pastry just so I'm charging $3.25 instead of $1.25. Stupid.
The priest/father person sitting at the table next to me said I have a great dog when I came back out of the coffee place. I guess that means Giles wasn't whining, barky, or growly while I was inside? Also, he's just cute. It's incredible how people make an assumption that Giles is a good dog, a well-behaved dog, a friendly dog, because he's innocent looking. But really he's a spazzy terror. A TERROR, I say.

on 2006-08-25 04:02 pm (UTC)i know what you mean about the psychological block against charging something less than 2 dollars - i feel oddly guilty when there should be no reason to feel guilty (esp. if we are buying from a chain store)....

on 2006-08-26 03:12 am (UTC)Anyways, yeah, I totally feel no guilt when charging $1 at chain stores. But when I'm at independently owned places, I always feel bad. I'm also trying to move to cash-based purchases of some sundries like coffee and stuff so I can budget better -- like, take out $20 for coffee/tea/snacks for the week and forbid myself to take out more cash or charge anything if/when I run out.
