I love me some Beethoven piano concertos. I'm listening to the fifth at the moment. Mmm..... I should bring in my classical music cds and just leave them in my office since I don't really listen to them at home anyways.

I'm working on revising an essay for a book collection at the moment. The plan was to work on it yesterday, but a bout of insomnia Monday-Tuesday left me brain dead all day yesterday. I managed to drag myself to campus for a technology in the classroom workshop and for some syllabus fiddling afterwards but couldn't even read coherently enough to look over the essay. Today, though, I'm finally getting into it and hope to have it sent off to the editors by tomorrow afternoon. Even though one of the readers hated my essay, the editors don't want me to make substantive changes. Phtbt to you, mean reader! It is still very disconcerting when someone reads my writing and totally misses the point of what I am doing, though. I chalk it up both to my suckiness as a writer and to the strictures of academic writing that lead people to demand only certain kinds of arguments and writing.

Also, I got a haircut. And some fruity-smelling hair gel to make my hair more texture-y. )
