- "A Day in Pompeii" exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota has opened, and it looks like it would be an interesting afternoon diversion. The local news covered the opening of the exhibit last night. They mentioned the exhibit includes casts of bodies (human and canine) uncovered at the volcanic site. Exceptionally morbid.

- It is entirely inappropriate to use ad hominem attacks, especially if you are the White House. This news report of the subpoena of documents related to the surveillance of domestic terrorist suspects ends with a White House spokesperson's remark, "It's unfortunate that congressional Democrats continue to choose the route of confrontation."

- Preliminary reports suggest that nasal lavage does in fact help with my allergy issues. I only sneeze once or twice during the day now (as opposed to repeatedly and violently without rest for hours on end), and my sinuses are no longer congested nor my nose runny. It's funny that, as [livejournal.com profile] robslug put it, we're "out of the nasal lavage closet" now. Mr. Frog did kick me out of the bathroom earlier this afternoon, though, when I wanted to do my cleansing at the sink while he showered. He does not want to know that I do this.

- The mixing of chatroom interactions with camming produces an incredibly interesting world of exhibitionism, compliments, and humor.

- There's an "ugly dog contest" that finds the scariest looking dogs. They look like resurrected corpses!

- If eating a vegetarian burrito at Chipotle always gives you a wicked stomachache for the entire evening (unmitigated by either acid-reducing or gas-reducing medicines), you should stop eating those burritos. For reals.
