mmm cupcake

My corner Starbucks has started carrying chocolate and vanilla cupcakes. This may be the end of me. The cupcakes are good, but they also remind me a bit of the mass-produced, packaged-in-the-snack-aisle kinds (they are both really, really sweet -- almost excessively so). I picked up a chocolate one along with a cup of coffee just now on my way back from the gay library where I returned two overdue books and renewed two others. As I was in the Starbucks, Giles waited outside, tethered to a pole. Two women inside asked me what kind of dog Giles is and said he is really cute. Giles gets all the attention. My (single) friends always want to borrow him.
