Grr. Argh. I am in such a pissy mood right now. Sort of at the campus textbook store, but probably really a result of the upcoming campus visit. (I usually stress out about other things rather than what's really the issue.) So I submitted course text requests in SEPTEMBER of last year for this semester, thinking that such a head start would guarantee plenty of copies of the five books my students need on the shelves by the beginning of the semester. However, I found out at the beginning of the semester that they had forgot to order one book, didn't order enough copies of a second, and couldn't get a third book that I had given them a heads up on about not being distributed in the US. Of course, the worst part is that the textbook people NEVER contact you to let you know the status of things, even if you leave them messages and ask them explicitly to keep you up to date. So now I'm faced with the problem of having to rearrange my class reading schedule and/or order a new book. And it's just making me very unhappy.
