I had a most encouraging post-observation meeting today. In my program, each semester that we teach, someone from the peer review committee comes to observe a class and give us feedback on our teaching. I was observed by a professor (rather than another graduate student) this semester, and he was incredibly supportive of my teaching. So nice to hear something positive about my classroom for a change (though I've since calmed down about my class and remember how much I've enjoyed teaching literature this semester). He said I am very good at generating student discussion, synthesizing ideas, emphasizing points, and transitioning to different topics.
