I've yet to get a grasp on this bodily urge called hunger. I don't know when to eat to forestall the dizzying sensation of major hunger. Just an hour ago, I was on the point of passing out as I walked to the Gothic Bookshop. I had spent the afternoon reading and constantly drinking coffee. The dehydrating effects of such a diet no doubt contributed to the dizziness, as did a mostly empty stomach. I rushed home after buying some unneeded books, ate a slice of bread with strawberry jam, a single-serving container of peach yogurt, and a black bean veggie burger on toast. Now I am no longer hungry. But I'm not too full, either. Perhaps it is time for dessert...
