ugh

Well, despite my efforts to lay low and rest over this long holiday weekend, I somehow managed to be stressy and also catch a cold/flu. My throat started hurting this morning, and then early this afternoon I got weak and achy (ooo... an achy breaky heart... my mom bought that cd). I'm hoping this is a short illness so that I can get through the last two weeks of the semester without too much trouble.

In other news, the dissertation is still not writing itself. Nor is my dog Giles learning the trick of writing the dissertation for me. I do have pages I have been waving around, though, and that feels good.

Yeah, sickness prevails. I'm still weak today and not too interested in food though hungry. But at least the aches are gone and I have a bit more energy. Gotta to do lots of stuff on campus today.

I'm reading Patricia Williams's The Alchemy of Race and Rights right now. Have you read it?
