eep

Heart-stopping moment of the day: Opening my mailbox and finding an envelope from one of the schools I applied to for a job. I thought they rejected me quite quickly since I just sent out the applications late last Thursday. But it was merely an acknowledgment letter. Whew.

Ooh good luck! Where are you applying to?

lots and lots

I'm applying to lots and lots of schools all over the country, from small liberal arts college to big state universities and expensive private universities. Most of the places I've sent applications to so far are so small no one except alumni would know. Places like Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington (best town-name-state-name-combo EVER) and Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. In the next couple of weeks, I'll be sending out applications to some of the more well-known places with later deadlines like UC Davis, Northwestern University, and Cal Poly.

Whew good luck! One of the nice things I guess for law is that it's all centralized, meaning I just have to fill out one form on the internet, pay a fee, and it gets automatically sent out to all the schools. Some people also send out personalized applications on top of that (I certainly did last year) but this year I decided it wasn't worth the effort.
