In addition to entering some student grades into a spreadsheet, I'm here in my office renewing a slew of academic association memberships. I just plunked down about $250 for the Association for Asian American Studies, the American Studies Association, and the Modern Language Association. Meh. It'd be nice to have a job with a research budget that could cover these expenses.

Just looking at my mail, and this year I have to re-enroll in dental and medical benefits, which means I have to read through the gigantic folder of material about different plans within the next two weeks. GRRRR. They should've sent this stuff out earlier. Come on. How many professors have extra time during MIDTERMS to look through this stuff?
