Hurrah for Friday. This week has really zoomed by. I finally got my books ordered for the two classes I'm teaching in the fall during the noon hour. That's such a relief. I still have to lay out the reading schedule and "logic" of one of those classes, though.

I should probably have made plans already for a June 25th wedding I'll be attending in New York.... But I've run out of steam. I could just drive up, too. I'm thinking that if all goes as planned, my last day of work will be the 23rd. And then I can stay up North for a week or so.

hunt, hunt, hunt

At some point in the next few weeks, we are going to have to step up our apartment hunting. So far, we've really only looked at one place in Raleigh. I want to move somewhere new, somewhere built recently. I'm tired of our "charming" 1930s apartment complex with the window a/c units, radiator heat (that only works some of the time in the winter), rickety hardwood floors, mold problems, windows with no seals, peeling paint, lack of storage space, lack of counter space in the kitchen and bathroom, and so on. I want central heat and air, new carpeting/flooring, filtered air, freshly painted walls, lots of storage space, lots of counter space, a washer and dryer in the apartment, and a loft.
