so it begins

Today was overwhelming. I haven't even started any classes yet, but already I feel like I'm way behind in my work. The hectic atmosphere in the graduate student offices on campus, combined with my frustration at being unable to find a particular book in stores around town (involving traveling to Raleigh, getting a parking ticket, getting lost in Cary, and generally being unsuccessful at everything), has got me feeling blue. I shall go find some food now, then watch Buffy. I hope that will cheer me up.
